5 Tools to Grow Your Network With Joy & Authenticity - Part 1 #20

SHOW NOTES

Today’s episode is part 1 of a 2 part series on networking, where we share 5 Simple Tools that I personally used to build my creative network while having fun & being authentic - even though I’m a super introvert.

As an introvert, I love a deep, long, wholehearted conversation but enjoying some friendly small talk while picking up my kiddos from school? Forget it. I’d love to, but it just feels very draining. Can you imagine networking? So for a long time I thought I wouldn’t ever be good at this.

And that was so, until I read the book Quiet of Susan Cain. Before that, I felt a bit of a misfit socially. And honestly, I felt so incapable, and even a bit jealous of my dear extrovert friends who would have the best time of their lives in parties, make friends and find business partners in a blink of an eye. Don’t get me wrong - I highly value relationships. It’s just that I’m wired to connect and have the most amazing conversations... 1:1. And I used to ask myself… Can I ever build a great, authentic professional network, being as I am? It took me some time to figure this out, but the answer is definitely yes. And I’m thrilled to share with you how you can create yours - if you’re introverted, extrovert or a super introvert-extrovert creator.

We’re talking about…

  • Demystifying Networking and the fundamental values behind it.

  • Why “Utilitarian” Networking is not the only way.

  • Building your Network through cultivating meaningful 1:1 relationships.

  • How to Network Through Collaboration, Generosity and Gratitude
