Focus + Flow: The Secret to Consistency #9

SHOW NOTES

In this episode we’re talking about mastering focus and flow and the secret to consistency. For that we are going to dive into 2 key topics: Walking our Path and the importance of long-term and short-term thinking in your art career.

Anything valuable requires consistency. Consistency is a mix of discipline and flexibility, which allows us to keep moving every single day towards the things that are most important to us. Consistency is key to growing our productivity and creativity exponentially as an artist and it requires a big deal of self-discipline, long and short-term thinking. These skills are not widely taught in art schools or even in our culture. And they can feel quite limiting and even overwhelming sometimes. Let’s dive in and discover a few test-and-tried practices that have helped artists to be exponentially more productive again and again.

What we’re talking about…

  • How to create with flexibility when you have a planned agenda ahead of you.

  • Feeling fully alive and open to the present moment, while following your 3 years plan.

  • How to not feel completely drained and exhausted while creating something that really really matters to you.

  • How to implement short & long term thinking in your artistic practice.
